The Brazilians Are Coming!
Brazilian shoe brand, Melissa, has become pretty popular in the US with it’s surprisingly chic rubber shoes and designer collaborations (Jason Wu, Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh, to name a few). It only makes sense, then, that it’s digging its proverbial heels in with a brick and mortar location here in the States. Opening on February 8 at 102 Green Street in SoHo, the store will have the same super-artsy gallery feel as the flagship location in Sao Paolo. The opening will feature an installation by Eli Sudbrack (same guy who designed Lady Gaga’s holiday workshop at Barney’s New York). Shoppers, rev your engines. It’s time to buy some rubber!
