Get the Look: YSL Diamante Boots

Rock it like RiRi

Remember that time Anthony Vacarello stopped the world by sending a pair of mesmerizing silver, jeweled slouch boots down the YSL Fall 17 runway? Did you also seethe with envy swoon when Rihanna wore those exact boots less than a week later?

A post shared by badgalriri (@badgalriri) on

OK, us, too. While we had zero hopes of securing the $10,000 (yes, you read that right) phenoms of footwear, we have since been wondering who would be first to make a similar style available to the masses. (Because in addition to that price tag, there's also a crazy waiting list.) Well, it looks like British brand, Kandee, is among the leaders of that pack with its aptly named "Bad Girl" boot.

Though the $550 version doesn't have the structural cone heel (because, uh, hello trademarks), it does have the pointed toe, slouch silhouette and dazzling allover crystals. (That's what matters most, right?) If you're chasing this trend, you'll have to pre-order a pair HERE. They'll take 3-6 weeks to ship— according to Kandee, they're handmade to order.

As always, indulge responsibly!

5 Fave Shoes from Ivy Kirzhner's Fall 16 Collection

Stars and Strikes

Not long ago, at the opening of the Bird Robot Heart art exhibit at Ivy Kirzhner's New York studio, we had a chance to not only preview the designer's SS '17 pre-fall collection (which we're not allowed to share yet), but also get up close and personal with her AW '16 collection. Inspired largely by 80s rock & roll decadence — namely the special dose of magic found in David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust— the collection features gleaming hardware accents on designs that mix Inuit influence and urban style sensibilities. We're enjoying high summer, but with an eye on fall, here are the pairs that put a twinkle in our eyes.
Ivy Kirzhner Lightning Pump
Lightning
We love the yellow gold accent and rose gold heel on this studded "Lightning" pump. In red, it's just over-the-top enough for all types of chic shenanigans. ($495 at IvyKirzhner.com)

Ivy Kirzhner Crane thigh-high boot
Crane
This "Crane" boot? Simply put, it's sex on a stiletto heel– from the thigh-high silhouette in stretch-nappa leather to the gold grommets and lace-up look that nods ever so sensually to S&M. The open toe is just the place to show off that new hooker-red pedi. ($795 at IvyKirzhner.com)

Ivy Kirzhner Stardust Boot
Stardust
A galaxy of stars and studs dance on an over-the-knee suede boot, creating a showstopping tribute to David Bowie's larger-than-life performance style. We'd wear this "Stardust" boot every day if we could. OK... we would never wear the same shoes every day, but you get the point. ($995 on IvyKirzhner.com)

Ivy Kirzhner Swiss Bootie
Swiss
When the temps actually drop, sometimes it's tough to keep things haute... unless you have the "Swiss" wedge bootie. Wild hare fur juts from between western-inspired studded straps on an almond-toe boot with a rose gold plaque at the heel. These'll be perfect for weekend brunch. (Not yet available)

Ivy Kirzhner Aztrakhan Boot
Aztrakhan
If ever there was a shearling boot for us, the "Aztrakhan" is it. A hidden wedge, edgy straps and an over-the-knee silhouette atop a lug sole? Yes, please! We may have finally found the perfect boot to wear to JETS games. (Not yet available)

If this is your first time hearing of Ivy Kirzhner, it most definitely won't be your last. She's a fave of your favorite fashion editors, and her shoes have been spotted on Beyonce, Nastia Liukin and a host of other celebrities. Oh yeah... she only uses ethically-sourced materials, so there's also that.

Wild Wednesday: Casadei 1902 Boots & Remy Martin Sazeracs

Feline High

It's the middle of the week, and the last two days have been a bit of a drag. You're on the prowl today... for opportunities, challenges and- most importantly- fun! With your keen hunting instincts and voracious appetite (for fab footwear, fashion, and whatever else you want), you manage to get what you want (without being catty). A pair of leopard print boots- like the 1902 from Casadei's "Into the Wild" collection for F/W 08-09 (shopping details at Casadei.com) - will make the world your prey. The 5 inch heel and 1 inch platform mean you're not afraid of a challenge, and the satin leopard print shaft indicates an un-caged spirit. Yet, the brown leather toe and throat say you know how not to overdo it.

You'll need a little extra discretion this evening too, when the effects of your Sazerac start to take hold. This classic cocktail blends Remy Martin Cognac, Jade Liqueurs Absinthe, Peychaud Bitters and sugar syrup and has quite a bite. You're not intimidated by a boys' drink, though, so enjoy. As long as you don't let this drink become your master, you'll be fine. *Note- Having originated in New Orleans during the 1800s, the Sazerac is known as America's first cocktail.
