Runway Recap: Milan, Fall 2012 RTW Fave Shoes of the Day- Prada, Fendi...

Day 2 of the Milan ready to wear shows were definitely more exciting on the footwear front. Here’s what caught my eye:

Blugirl

I’m a sucker for saddle shoes, especially when they have heels. Add bright, bubbly colors and I’m all in. Blugirl, these pastel cap toe oxfords are a win. **Photo by Piero Cristaldi via WWD

Fendi

Multi color is one thing, but multicolor AND multi-material is different level of awesome (when done properly). Fendi’s Fall 2012 booties mixed leather, pony hair and sometimes snakeskin to create a look that was at once serious and fun. **Image via ELLE

Ermanno Scervino

Equestrian inspirations were apparent at Ermano Scervino’s Fall 2012 RTW show, as were those of countryside living. Steps above typical riding boots, the footwear was still on-theme. My favorite from the collection? The teal leater pump with a suede foldover flap held down by a large pin. **Image via ELLE

Prada

Miuccia Prada’s Fall 2012 ready to wear collection was the talk of the tenterati. The geometric prints, the bright eye makeup, the embellishments and tailoring all sent tongues a-wagging and fingers a-walking across keyboards, and rightfully so. I’m wondering which celebrity will be the first one spotted in a pair of the satin, beaded pumps or the colorblocked ones with criss-cross straps. I really can’t wait to see how this honey gold, black and white one is styled in real life. (Gift wish list hint!) **Image via ELLE
